Panamian Visa “retirado”

Panama offers a ‘retirement’ programme for those who wish to retire to Panama or to invest their capitals in the country. The minimum capital requirement is US$ 170.000. Important characteristics of this visa program:

• There is no age limit required for applying for any of these visas, save for the minimum legal age of 18 years
• Money is to be deposited on a five-year certificate of deposit with the Banco Nacional de Panamà, to yield at least US$ 750 a month
  (at current rates the face value of the C.D. would need to be approximately $170,000)
• Passport is personal, identical to the passport of the ‘real Panamanian citizens’;
• Only one deposit is required for husband and wife
• You are not granted citizenship and naturalization, you are granted only a retiree visa (you will not lose your first citizenship in those countries where dual citizenship is not granted)
• For each son (underage or even a student under 25 years) you have to increase the deposit of around $10.000
• Passport is granted in 4 months as from the date of your application (after the money has been deposited on a C.D.). However, in most cases, we are able to shorten the time and issue passports within approximately one to two weeks
• An accurate diligence is required on the funds deposited with the BNP
• The visa is renewable as long as the C.D. is renewed. Passports must be returned in order to get the C.D. back

Procedures and documents required for the application:

• Customers shall provide the following documents to our law firm:
• Special Power of Attorney, signed by the applicant, authorizing our law firm to process the immigration application and documentation
• Certificate of good health plus apostille including the HIV and hepatitis test
• Police records certification unless the customer is been residing in Panama for at least two years plus apostille
• Notarized and apostilled copy of all pages of passport
• Six (6) passport sized photos
• Sworn statement (provided by our office) duly notarized and authenticated
• The opening of the C.D. can be made by our law firm by proxy for an additional fee, thus the customer can go to Panama only for the issue of passport. On the contrary, if the customer goes to Panama in two different times, some of the abovementioned documents can be produced in Panama with more simplicity

Pacto de Amisdad Italy and Panama
(Agreement No. 15 of 1 February 1996).

The pacto de amistad (1996) allows the Italian citizens to obtain both the Panamanian residence and identity card (with an unlimited visa) in few months, with reduced fees, and with paid up capital required. For this kind of visa the same documents as for the Solvencia Economica Propria are required. This visa, differently from the Solvencia Economica, does not give you the right to the passport but only to the ‘cedula’ (local identity card) and to the visa on the passport.

Those who have applied for the amistad and who have been residing in Panama for more than five years will be eligible to apply for Panamanian nationality and passport.

Naturalizing in Hutt River.

Hutt River declares its secession from Australia on April 21st 1970. Since that day many legal actions have occurred between Australia and the Prince Leonard Casley who is still the head of the Principality. If the Principality had not had any legal basis, flying squads would have certainly arrived to the Principality … something would have happened to a group of people who have not been paying taxes for 37 years, who build without licences and do not respect the wheat quotas
(which was also the main reason for secession).
Today, the Principality of Hutt River exists and is legitimate as also declared by the Australian Ministry of Foreign Office on the document ‘Austeo Secret’.
Diplomatic relations are the real weak point of Hutt River; at present, it has relations only with about twenty minority states, while it has just started to deal with other countries
(Italy included).
If it is true that the opening of a current account for a HRP company may be rejected, it is also true that its licences and passports are gaining in acceptance (though it could be contested for a possible expatriation) and the Australian Government had to recognize the validity of passports issued by the Hutt River Principality
too. 
The debate is still open and for now we just assert the freedom of Hutt River, its opportunities and the services offered by a Country which has just established its diplomatic relations with other countries.
More and more clients are fascinated by the history as well the prospects of this country born out of freedom … for the sake of freedom.

Today few documents and reduced fees are required to obtain the Hutt River citizenship and passport. You just have to call in at our office in San Marino or in Panama for a meeting with the Honorary Consul or with a Trade Attaché.

• Six (6) colour passport-size photos

• Copy of all pages of valid passport

• Two reference letters 

• A complete medical certificate

• Police records certification

• Forms filled in and signed

Panama fot those who
have time...

In Panama an investor visa can also be granted for reforestation programme for which it is required an investment of US$ 40.000 in woodland. Such programme usually quadruples your capital in 10 years and after five years you are eligible to apply to be a citizen of Panama with a Panamanian passport.
There is an other Small Business Investor Visa designed for those who wish to establish a small ‘clear’ company of which you are owner and director and there also must be a minimum of three permanent Panamanians employees (and with the relevant payment of seguro social).
Five years after obtaining the permanent visa, holders will be eligible to obtain Panamanian nationality.
