Documents you need for the Principality of Hutt River:

Today, the jurisdiction of Hutt River offers the incorporation of limited companies according to the IBC ACT of 2004. With the exception of specific restrictions, the companies may have the following characteristics:

• They may be companies limited by shares or guarantee or hybrid companies
• Two persons are required (or only one who represents both):
• The director (protected by law, not inscribed in the public registry, revealable only by order of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Principality)
• One or more shareholders/guarantees (protected by law and not inscribed in the public registry)
• The company names are univocal and can end with one of the following suffixes: Limited, Ltd, Corporation, Corp, Incorporated, Inc, Pty Ltd, Sendirian Berhard, Sdn Bhd, Societe a Responbilite Limitee, SARL, Besloten Vennootschap, B.V., or Gesellschaft mit beschrankter Haftung, GmbH, HRP
• Presumptive annual taxation equal to €100
• No accounting is required
• Companies cannot be run by Hutt River Citizens and Australian Citizens

Companies may be granted with special licences in order to operate in a comprehensive range of business, the costs for the grant and maintenance of such licences are very competitive. These are some of the main activities:

• Banking and trust activity (2 types of licences: unrestricted and restricted)
• Insurance Activity: (2 types of licences: general and private)
• Activity for online gambling (unrestricted)

Hutt River Principality:
“is it officially recognized?”

Every customer asks us about the legitimacy and the ‘recognition’ of Hutt River. In this field we must always be very careful and give exact answers which should be neither too vague nor too restrictive and which should consider the age and historicity of the Country.
Hutt River declares its secession from Australia on April 21st 1970. Since that day many legal actions have occurred between Australia and the Prince Leonard Casley who is still the head of the Principality. If the Principality had not had any legal basis, flying squads would have certainly arrived to the Principality … something would have happened to a group of people who have not been paying taxes for 37 years, who build without licences and do not respect the wheat quotas
(which was also the main reason for secession).
Today, the Principality of Hutt River exists and is legitimate as also declared by the Australian Ministry of Foreign Office on the document ‘Austeo Secret’.
Diplomatic relations are the real weak point of Hutt River; at present, it has relations only with about twenty minority states, while it has just started to deal with other countries (Italy included).
If it is true that the opening of a current account for a HRP company may be rejected, it is also true that its licences and passports are gaining in acceptance (though it could be contested for a possible expatriation) and the Australian Government had to recognize the validity of passports issued by the Hutt River Principality
too. The debate is still open and for now we just assert the freedom of Hutt River, its opportunities and the services offered by a Country which has just established its diplomatic relations with other countries.
